What is a Remediation Program?

Remediation uses proven, targeted strategies to support the academic progress of children who need an approach different from a standard classroom setting.

Signs Your Child Needs Remediation Assistance

  • Facing challenges with the academic curriculum
  • Not appearing to meet learning skill milestones (visual, auditory, reading/writing)
  • Facing challenges with interpersonal skills

Remediation Program at EAV

After a thorough assessment, we use targeted exercises and 1:1 instruction with specialized educational tools. We go beyond academics to build your child’s confidence and help them become more independent.

Our program can help your child with:

  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking
  • Self-Care
  • Interpersonal / Soft Skills

Collaborative Approach

Our Remediation Program is designed to work in step with everything else your child does at EAV. We stay connected with our in-house ABA, Occupational Therapy, and Speech/Language teams, as well as your child’s teachers and outside therapists, so academic progress reinforces, and is reinforced by, the skills they’re building everywhere else.

Focused Skill Development: Small Teachable Steps

At EAV, we recognize just how diverse the needs of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can be. Our individualized behavior analysis services target the key skills that matter most for communication and social development. Through focused, step-by-step interventions, we help children communicate more effectively with parents and peers, which in turn reduces frustration and unwanted behaviors.
